Frequently Asked Questions
Curious about our community? This is a good place to start.
Can I use any boat slip that I want?
Unfortunately, no. The boat slips are rented annually by HOA members at $600/year. If you would like to have a boat slip, please email Anthony Carraway at tres@sterlingshoreshome.com. There are a few available.
What are the hours allowed for construction workers?
In order to provide peace during resting hours, we have allocated construction hours to Monday to Friday 7am-7pm, Saturday 7am-3pm and no construction on Sunday or Holidays. If that would change, we will post it.
What do I need to do to get a clicker
to open the front gate?
Please contact our President, Brenda Barnes at pres@sterlingshoreshome.com for a clicker. Each clicker is $25 and you can order as many as you need. We just ask you to only use the clickers for you and your immediate family. Your guest must use the gate code.
Can I fish off the community boat dock?
Yes, as long as you have a fishing license or abide by current state law, you can fish from the community boat dock. This dock is not open to people outside of our HOA.
What kind of tree
can I cut down?
If the tree is 10" in diameter or less, you can take the tree down. Also, if the tree is dead, you can take the tree down. If the tree is greater than 10" in diameter, you will need to mark the tree and have it approved by the Architecture Committee before you can cut it down.
What can I burn?
You can burn tree/landscape debris according to the ban laws in our county - do not burn during a burn ban. Do not burn when winds are high or if it is very dry. You must accompany the burn at all times.
What happens if a tree falls on the HOA Priefert fence?
We understand that trees do fall. The homeowner is responsible to fix the fence if a tree on their property damages the fence.
Have there been any safety issues?
A report of gasoline theft has occurred in our subdivision. Please be vigilant, especially if leaving your boat unattended.
